On a short stay in Sicily, Luigi Pirandello encounters an unforeseen event that will lead him to meet two singular theatrical figures, Onofrio Principato and Sebastiano Vella, two amateurs who are rehearsing a new play with the actors of their amateur company. The encounter between the brilliant author of “Six Characters in Search of an Author” and this shabby amateur troupe will be a harbinger of many surprises.
